Austen is a Graduate student of architecture at the University of Florida. His anticipated graduation date is April 2022. He has a strong interest in all things technical such as Additive and Subtractive Manufacturing, Robotics, Digital Design, and Programming. These interests manifested his Master’s Thesis Project researching the application of Industrial Robotics in Architecture with AI and Non-Planar additive manufacturing. He is utilizing a Denso 6-Axis robotic arm with a 3D printer end effector to fabricate spatial joints without supports using Non-Planar manufacturing approaches After Graduation, he's interested in pursuing his Ph.D, furthering his research of AI and Robotics in Architecture or transitioning into a professional career with innovative applications in architecture.
